Who knows why -gate gets appended to anything. It's not so much about the games as in-game chat, like
http://discordapp.com/ and probably others.
It's devolved into people being offended on behalf of third parties and doxing to include schools and employers of those who have 'offered' offense to some anonymous volunteer offendee. And spoofing 911 calls to get the action rolling.
Someone needs to drop down the IP stack to the TCP/IP levels and build a robust fully encrypted replacement for HTML with full support for anonymity, authentication and crypto blockchains.. SMTP, Usenet and TCP are all examples of peers of HTML. Why not another?
