Rockabilly is the purest form of rock-and-roll because it never evolved after the day the music died.

Now I know ol' FB is gonna git that VW to the house, hell or high water. But coming down 12-14 gears behind him to almost dead slow is other than a chord change.

I felt like the thread was drifting away from me, but you drag it back just to beat on me?
I drove the panel van from the late 70s to the early 90s. It had 3/4 ton axles, 1 1/18th inch sway bar, 14s on the front and [tall] 15s on the back. Gas pressurize shocks, halogen headlights. Empty it would top the Coast Range at 75mph. 85 on the Interstate.
The Type III Notchback had a 1776 with the dual Solexes from the panel van and a five speed. I shifted up into fifth at 85mph.
Admittedly since I can't find work, I feel less pressure. And I can't afford to get out of town except the occasional road trip, like to Darko.
Maybe we should have a music thread?
