Climate Change Will Ruin Air Travel

If the comments are true, this post is completely misleading, but let's not let that stop us from sharing it!

Which post? The Jalopnik post? Mine?

Also, apparently it is difficult to write "Phoenix" without a broken red line underneath.

I felt like the thread was drifting away from me, but you drag it back just to beat on me?

I drove the panel van from the late 70s to the early 90s. It had 3/4 ton axles, 1 1/18th inch sway bar, 14s on the front and [tall] 15s on the back. Gas pressurize shocks, halogen headlights. Empty it would top the Coast Range at 75mph. 85 on the Interstate.

The Type III Notchback had a 1776 with the dual Solexes from the panel van and a five speed. I shifted up into fifth at 85mph.

Admittedly since I can't find work, I feel less pressure. And I can't afford to get out of town except the occasional road trip, like to Darko.

Maybe we should have a music thread?

Comments in the article? In the history of the thread? Your post? Jalopnik who?

Post away.

It sounds like they will be able to increase the legroom in steerage.

I can't wait until they start weighing airline passengers together with their luggage.

When would they weigh us? When we check in? The Army stopped weighing Soldiers after a PT test because too many were obsessing over passing height and weight and then passing out during the two-mile run.

Hopefully, it would not be common, but I could see people fasting until they boarded, only to have nine peanuts and four ounces of water to last them until they land.

I'm surprised if they don't. When I was a Transportation Officer they trained me to calculate loading a transport plane with tanks. That's pretty granular. And you need to strap them down for takeoff.

Xist: They probably do it in seat selection. On visual evaluation.

Imagine how easily they could integrate a scale into security.

How large are the straps that hold down tanks?

They weighed us before we deployed. They must have been able to weigh us and our bags separately. Just give me the numbers, I will add them, and you can check my calculator. No? Oh goodie!

Soldier plus full body armor, rucksack, duffel bag, SAW 249, barrel bag, and assault pack.

Just try range-walking with all of that weight!

Search for '747 Bagram'.

I ran a mile in 5:15 in combat boots. Don't know if that's good.

I actually was not there when that happened. Left a few weeks before that happened.
