Visibility is actually OK - the horizon is visible in the mirror below the trailing edge.
As for construction, I'm aiming for quick 'n' dirty: Likely coroplast and aluminum tape. I may bend & attach a length of aluminum tube for strength and to support the trailing edge.
Nothing's so permanent as a temporary fix!
Ultimately, I was thinking metal riveted on for version 2. Sag-proof... though dentable. Trade-offs!
