I've supose I have to ask. Where do you find hybrids going for $55K? The Prius is in the mid-20s (even the used ones that're going for more than new), Civic Hybrid about the same. The Insight MSRP was about $20K.
And that 45K mile life expectancy? I'm coming up on 130K. No problems yet, and no reason to think it won't stil be running fine at 260K miles.
