Sure the presence of turbochargers have increased noticeably in the last 10 years. Even in some regional markets where naturally-aspirated Diesels were still able to meet emission requirements, such as Argentina and Uruguay, it became nearly impossible to find a brand-new naturally-aspirated Diesel in the last 5 years.

And even here in Brazil, where most people still feared turbochargers because it was perceived as a maintenance nightmare, it's not unusual to see some turbocharged versions of certain cars outselling their naturally-aspirated counterparts, to the point that some models which are still available with naturally-aspirated engines in neighboring countries became available locally only with turbocharged engines.
