Do you suspect that the front air inlet directs air like an under-tray air-curtain?
The angle of the belly pan you noticed is not contained by side curtains and we don't know how messed up it gets at the rear axle but I'm with you, it at least looks promising.
The electric motors front and back probably don't have the same issues of ICE/transmission combinations, and if they did the suspension right they could have excellent flow under there.
