Is the Cruze still around with a 1.4t and six-speed? I was impressed by the auto versions I drove in its first gen.

I get the turbo appeal - both those Cruzes and the 2.0 Ecoboost rental Escape I had were tempting dual-personality vehicles. I allegedly laid down a solid 50yd black stripe in the Escape and still made a mid-high 30s average transiting from Dallas to Memphis. But driving a turbo for a living as a trucker, I guess I'm jaded on the turbo thing (though I have tons of classic turbo lag to deal with - a 2-3sec delay as it spools).
