Second Blackstone analysis, this time with a longer OCI and using Honda Green Oil:
For the last ~2500 miles I've been driving with the hybrid battery turned off (more on that later) so I've been wringing the engine out regularly - my shift points are often 3-4k RPM, not because I need the power, but because the transmission is so tall that shifting at 2K as I was with the hybrid system enabled results in 1000rpm/no power after an upshift. Many of the miles have also been short trip cold start in sub-freezing or even sub-zero weather, so it's not too surprising to me that I'm seeing not so great wear.
That said, I filled it back up with Mobile One 0w20 this time. At the end of the change, the Green Oil's viscosity numbers weren't any different.
I've read there is a 0w16 hitting Walmart soon, so next change I may try that.
