No, they are (still) correct. The formerly robust and strong polar vortex, is now wobbly and weakened, and the lobes or low and high pressure ridges are slow moving. This results in localized cold areas, and others that are warm, and the Arctic is
much warmer than it used to be.
Arctic ice is melting more and more quickly. It was above freezing at the north pole - in complete darkness. That is
crazy conditions.
