The average Americans don't really seem to care for hypermiling, sometimes they even might think they're somewhat entitled to drive oversized landyachtes no matter what. No wonder some prefer to follow the footsteps of the so-called "Prius patriots" and turn to hybrids instead of adjusting their driving style, even though they may choose a hybrid crossover SUV instead of a Prius.
