Sci-fi has gotten many things right, including the interface.



Star Trek correctly predicted doors that open and close for you, mobile communication, spoken commands to a computer, AI, among other things. We'll probably have something resembling a replicator someday, as we now have the ability to grow flawless diamonds or 3D print certain objects.

I don't believe we will ever achieve faster than light travel or "beam me up" transportation. It's possible we will visit our nearest neighboring star systems, but probably more likely that humanity is annihilated before then.
