Adding anything is antithetical to the purpose. That's why it is a thought experiment that has no relation to the needs of a ground vehicle. Lighting, licensing, ingress/egress and sight lines all need to be accommodated.
More successful are the Morelli body and the spatted ellipsoids you see in solar and human powered vehicles.
