Not economically feasible?

A brand new 24 kWh replacement Leaf battery is $5500 and comes with a 5 year / 60,000 mile warranty. That is 9 cents per mile assuming the battery dies at the end of the warranty (which is very unlikely)

Nissan provides up to 60 months financing on the replacement batteries.

Look at it as prepaying for 5 years of gas in an ICE car.
