I don't see major problems, other than that it's a Tweel™, and probably encumbered with intellectual property rights.
3d printers can make solid shapes with internal voids, and the tread is just modeling detail. I didn't know polyurethane is a print material. It could have nylon cord printed in it.
The new hotness in 3D printers is printing in a vat of gel. The print head is a hypodermic needle that moves around in the gel and it obviates the need for scaffolding. Just take it out and rinse it off.
