Here's a link to the video.

As someone who has a 3D printer, I think that a lot of 3D printed things are solutions looking for problems.

The tread needs to be rounded, and the sidewalls need to be covered. Otherwise, they will collect dirt, fling gravel and water, and have more aero drag.

Thanks. I tried a couple of different ways to paste the URL, but it did not show the video. I did a search, got that page, decided it was good enough, and tried to move on, but since I was not actually linking to YouTube I replaced it with the link you shared.

It also has no tread! And it's polyurethane with nothing different on the outside! I would have loved a video of him even TOUCHING that front brake... LOL.

Like biking on ice everywhere you go.

I don't see major problems, other than that it's a Tweel™, and probably encumbered with intellectual property rights.

3d printers can make solid shapes with internal voids, and the tread is just modeling detail. I didn't know polyurethane is a print material. It could have nylon cord printed in it.

The new hotness in 3D printers is printing in a vat of gel. The print head is a hypodermic needle that moves around in the gel and it obviates the need for scaffolding. Just take it out and rinse it off.
