I just watched Mission Stardust from 19xx. Lesson learned: don't trust Swedish nurses with bee-hive hairdos when they operate in pairs. The Moon mission had an excursion vehicle over-optimized for it's operating environment: Small (For three passengers) body of revolution with a long reflex tail for re-attachment, spoilt only by the open wheels.

With the ever-necessary tail fin.
