You gotta really wash the undercarriage for months. Before I new better, I took my daughter to World of Speed in 2012 in my wife's 2010 Subaru. I spent weeks flushing salt from the undercarriage. A couple years later the exhaust system developed a premature failure due to rust *on top* of parts of the system. In the end I replaced the part at a cost of a couple hundred bucks (did its myself). Apparently, I should have been much more aggressive in washing the undercarriage. So even though it had been a couple years, I got at it again, BIG TIME.

El Mirage would be great for our purposes at EM. Our speeds are just not super high and they have about 1 mile to a mile and a half of useful track. I would love to participate in any good project as part of a support team.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
