720 doesn't seem that much longer than 640, when compared to RE92s which have a treadwear rating of 240. I think I got 60,000 miles out of my last set? But you have a point. There's also the cost of mounting and balancing to consider, so a cheaper tire can lose a lot more money by more frequent replacements.
