Sure, most people are bad at math, financial responsibility, reason, etc, etc. However, recent trends suggest vehicles are becoming more fuel efficient.

As I say, people deceive themselves, and therefore others. They will rationalize the suitability part of their vehicle purchase despite the fact that it was mostly an emotional decision.
