If they are “in production “ can you walk over and buy one or is there a long elaborate wait?

Nah, not my definition of in production, they say they are making “frames”

The first batch of production vehicles will start this summer and they will be built in California. We have already started mass production on chassis and powertrain components beginning of this year. Our first customer experience center just opened in Santa Monica!

After you put in your deposit of $200 now on www.amperemotor.com , you will get regular updates and official lists of options and colors soon. Then you will pay another $1000 about 2 months before production and delivery of your Ampere, and you will pay the balance right before or upon delivery if you pick up your vehicle yourself.

Specs for the Ampere electric roadster:
• Range: up to 100 miles, can upgrade to 150 miles for an extra $2800.
• Top speed: Up to 65-75 mph for optimal efficiency and mostly city driving
• 0-60: about 7-8 seconds; automatic transmission
• 10 colors available (silver, red, black, white, blue, green, gold, grey, purple, & bronze)
• Comes up its own onboard charger (5-6 hours)! Charges in about 2-3 hours with a level 2 charger
• Warranty: 3 years.
• Trunk space: fits about the size of one golf bag
• Standard windshield AND Optional super cool GULL WING style flip up T-tops: $1500
• Radio and stereo system: optional for $299

Safety features: Windshield pillars, front, side, rear, and top steel beams for great protection.

Amperes are designed to be repaired and maintained very easily; our partner service centers across the US will provide you high quality service!

Three wheel vehicles are classified as motorcycle or autocycle, helmet and motorcycle license requirement depends on the state. In California and NV and many states, they are registered as motorcycles and you only need a regular car license to operate them; be sure to confirm with local DMV before operating. Ampere Roadster is a three-wheeled motorcycle. It is not an automobile and does not meet automotive safety standards. It meets or exceeds motorcycle safety standards. Drivers should always wear helmets in the open top version and always wear seat belts. Don’t drink and drive.

Specifications subject to change as we finalize mass production this year.

Financing will be available for 36-48 months.

Again we welcome you to join our Amazing and revolutionary journey!
