The 100D has a 0-60 of 3.6 seconds compared to Model 3 time of 4.6 seconds. That's fairly significant, and should be plainly obvious to any driver.
I'm sure that for $40k+, the Model 3 is a very nice car.

There's rose colored reviews and there's bad press. We can take all at face value.
This owner is obviously happy with his Model 3, but as he compares several things point by point I thought it wasn't too bad.
He knows the Model S is faster, but also mentions it does not feel like that from the inside. You can feel acceleration but you can't feel speed or power.
A bigger car will seem slower than a small car just because of the longer wheel base; the time it takes before the rears hit the same bump as the fronts gives a false impression of speed or lack thereof to those accustomed to a different wheel base.
He does mention good things on the Model S, like the air suspension and the ability to raise or lower it; most notably, if you raise the suspension to clear a driveway entry it will remember the location and raise automatically from then on.
He mentions Tesla might do a complete refresh of the Model S, but as for now and value for money counting, he prefers the Model 3.
