Years ago on my Neon I installed 5% tint on the back windows, 50% on the front side windows (legal), and always used a reflective shade in the windshield when I parked. I also bypassed the heater core during the summer. The car was much much more pleasant to drive.
I always wanted to fit a 4 hose bypass valve off a Jeep or Explorer and maybe use a cable to move it instead of vacuum but I never did it.
