I ran a ford V8 in the 80's on straight propane, dual quad manifold and dual vaporizers.
Because of the demand design of the vaporizer, there is no accelerator pump action. It does not take off like a carbureted engine.
Oil remains clean many thousands of miles, due to no cylinder rinse down and little carbon build up. Spark plugs, same thing.
LPG is 4.25 pounds per gallon. A pound of carbon is a pound of carbon, so you can do the math on that. Pounds are the equivalent unit when it comes to BTU and economy.
