You could go to Romania. They also do a fair bit of conversions.

They've had it for quite a while. But anyway, with direct injection (fitted to the Silverado 1500 and available in the F-150 with Ecoboost engines) it's possible to already start with propane since it can be injected at the liquid phase through the stock fuel rail just like gasoline and ethanol. IIRC some Italian gaseous fuel conversion kit suppliers such as Lovato and Zavoli already offer such systems.

I ran a ford V8 in the 80's on straight propane, dual quad manifold and dual vaporizers.
Because of the demand design of the vaporizer, there is no accelerator pump action. It does not take off like a carbureted engine.
Oil remains clean many thousands of miles, due to no cylinder rinse down and little carbon build up. Spark plugs, same thing.
LPG is 4.25 pounds per gallon. A pound of carbon is a pound of carbon, so you can do the math on that. Pounds are the equivalent unit when it comes to BTU and economy.
