Seems to me you get the worst of both of both worlds trying to combine a car and a bike, at least from a typical American perspective: none of the perceived safety of a car, but with a large footprint like a car; more efficient than a car, but not as efficient as a bike; enclosed cabin like a car, but you can't fit anything more than a person or 2, like a bike.

I still consider a trike smarter than this
