He is too cavalier with the evidence, and he I guess accidentally deceives his viewers by deceiving himself about the temple's renovation history. It was renovated in the 1920s.
But there sure were ancient wheels, and not just in India. On the Pontic-Caspian steppe Indo-Europeans also had them thousands of years ago. And those eight-spoke VX and HX wheels we admire here sometimes reflect an ancient design.
The ancient Celtic God Taranis had a wheel as a central symbol. He is sometimes considered the Celt's Zeus or Thor, depending on what you read:
