Somewhere I ran across an article in which The UK had to recall some of their nuclear-powered military vessels from the Persian Gulf region, due to elevated sea temperatures, which compromised heat rejection from the shipboard reactors cooling systems.
And coastal reactors had to operate at lower power output for the same reason.
And evidently,the safety of passive, wet storage of spent fuel rods can be compromised beyond a certain temperature threshold.Whoopy!
