I was told that "snowy winters would soon be a thing of the past" I was like cool sign me up.

So why the lack of death spiral alarmism?
Why aren't we hearing about all the ice that melted in the artic this summer?

You got about 2 more years left before the rest of the reasonable people abandon the idea.
Whatever emerges outside the standard deviations will be suspect.
The poles are being hit the hardest.
Glaciers are going faster than best forecasts could predict.
The self-reinforcing feedback loops are especially concerning.
Habitat
Precipitation extremes
Methane hydrates
Ocean pH
Permafrost
Both the Atlantic and Pacific basins ate pretty active now as ocean temps near maximums by end of month
Wild fires
Drought
Flooding
Record heat
Cloud Forests seeing condensation elevations rise
Crop failures
Disease vectors
Here where I'm typing,Al's wife has already had Dengue Fever
We now have confirmed West Nile Virus a few miles south in Carrollton
Moose are dying from tick-borne encephalitis, spread by white-tailed deer
Beetles are killing trees
It's a multidisciplinary cornucopia of planet dynamics.
We'll just have to watch and see. It's interesting.
