I looked at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory's website a couple weeks ago.It is their GRACE satellites that are monitoring the ice conditions.
They say that ice loss is accelerating at both poles.
There's 'new' ice,but it's thin and doesn't last long when the next summer season hits.Conservative estimates say Arctic blue ocean event' likely by Summer 2030.
AccuWeather.com and PBS Television are the only 'broadcast' networks to even mention anything about it that I know of.
