Its normal for European car. The MPG readout is always optimistic so average Ruropean consumer feels good. My car (Renault ecu) says i drive for 4.2 l/100 km, whereas my spreadshet says its around 4.8 to 4.9.
Average consumers do not have spreadsheets with tank-to-tank average to check, I suppose.
