I wouldn't be so optmist. If I remamber well about a documentary, the dust it's radiactive for thousand yeras and more. The dust penetrated the soil, got deeér, leaving surface less radioactive today than 25 yeras ago, but it can create another problem, like reach water layers (water tablers).

Of course most powerplants are much safer than Chernobyl was, yet Belgium had to shut down yet another nuclear reactor due to construction faults - in the last case reinforced concrete was only reinforced on the drawings, not in reality.
