There is no sense putting in 2.2 GW of turbines if you don't run at least a 1.5 GW power line. The plan is to wire 160 miles to Albaquerque to turn left on the Sunzia 3 GW line 520 miles to Arizona. $2 Billion. But it is still held up over bird safety at the Rio Grande crossing at Escondida.
