That's nice and all, but there are caveats. For one thing it's just them backfilling pre-orders. We're not talking about people walking in off the street and choosing a Tesla over, say, a Camry. Secondly it's a bit of statistical tomfoolery; although the Model 3 was the 4th largest selling passenger car, it wasn't even in the top 10 in overall sales. 12th actually, which is not anything to sneeze at. But we really don't yet know what the sustainable sales numbers will look like.
