Justacarguy discovers one of my favorite obscurities, The White Horse:
Just A Car Guy: Ever heard of a White Horse delivery van? You't think I would have run across this before, but somehow I never have. Powered by an air cooled Franklin engine, built by White Motors (like the trucks)
Unit body, mid-rear engine — an air-cooled Franklin, like the Tucker. The windshield reminds me of a Tempo Matador.
This was the 1930s when the VW bus wasn't even a gleam in Ben Pons eye. White also made a flathead flat twelve in the 1930s;:
Oh, and only the 20th Beetle
ever
, restored:
Just A Car Guy: Ondrej Brom has found and restored the oldest surviving VW Beetle in Czechoslovakia in 1988, and bought it in 1997. Serial number 20
