Sorry, not the Sunbird. You're thinking of the Phoenix/Citation/Omega/Skylark quadruplets, the X-bodies. Sunbird was J-body, like the Cavalier.
The Fiero borrowed pretty much the entire front end of the X-body family and stuck it under the rear. I reckon if you could find a place to put the steering rack, you could make a Fiero rear-steer, the knuckles are still down there.
