Thank you kindly
Bense will give you his own reply I'm sure. But I will say that supposedly this can be done (I have not, nor have I personally met anyone who claims to have done it). But the swap of the 5th gen trans to a 7th gen car will be complicated by the differences in shifter linkages and the seventh gen Civic's immobilizer, if I understand correctly. Wiring and shifter adaptation will be required, but they bolt up.

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.
