The Nopsa tubing diameter looks like a steel frame compared to my aluminum Jamis Aragon. A quick check with a magnet tells the tale. Most peole lose the inboard brake levers. I put extra padding under the handle bar tape.
In the relatively flat 1000 islands a 36T or 38T chain ring and a 28T rear should be adequate. The only time I use my low 28T chain ring is on our elevated bridges or steep hills. But then I'm getting old.
