There were hardly any glaciers over Asia. So they could not vanish in as little as 250 generations.
They weren't there, nor in Alaska. Why? I don't know. I bet sea currents and wind direction made Asia and Alaska relatively temperate then, just like it does now for Europe.
I'm not opposed to nuclear. We really need everything we got to reduce carbon emissions: Solar, wind, geothermal, nuclear, biostuff, tide and hydro combined on the generating side, and strict regulation to prevent wasting energy on the consuming side.
And we won't be able to do that within 15 years or so.
Which may be on the late side climate wise.
