This needs an actual rudder so bad. If you lost one or both of those motors in flight, your only option would be trying to yaw with motor fairings, but windmilling those big turbine blades at the same time. With a real tail control surface, you could flip them out of the way and your glide ratio would be less space-shuttle like.
