I'd like to see an EV garbage truck. There's no reason to be running these loud diesel engines and worn out brakes at 6am through neighborhoods.
These things normally get 2 MPG. I bet a 100 kWh battery would cover the daily needs with a nice cushion to spare. It would quadruple brake life too.
But then, it's the noise of the truck that has reminded me to run out with the can on many occasions. If they sneak around neighborhoods I'll probably miss a few trash days.
