My dad has an S2000, the first(best) generation with the 2.0 screamer.
Here is the link to its' fuelly. I drove it to work (7 miles) exclusively and got 27.8 MPG with regular VTECs, YO. Otherwise I was hypermiling it just like my Accord, which gets about 32 MPG doing exclusively work commutes.

The gearing is just too short for good MPG in the S2000. Also keep in mind you should be running 91+ octane in it.

S2000 (Honda S2000) | Fuelly

Our S2000 is rated for 18/24, and I can tell you that is pretty accurate.

Also something to consider if you want to go upscale would be a 2011-2012(???) Mercedes Benz C300 in the 6 speed manual. Rwd sedan with room for passengers and a 18/25 rating. I got to drive one at work and holy crap does it have a nice clutch.

Infiniti G35s/G37s are also an option
