I want a Subaru Outback as an EV. It is big enough for almost everything I have ever wanted to carry, and when it isn't, I rent a trailer for less than $20/day.
If I was rich, I would try to stuff a Tesla drive train into an Outback, but I am not, so we have a Leaf for many in-town stuff and the Subaru for when we need a second car, longer trips, pull a trailer, etc.
When my latest Subaru is paid off, I plan on replacing my motorcycle with an EV motorcycle. When that is paid off, my Subaru will be replaced with an EV (assuming I have the money for all of this). I hope Subaru has come out with something other than the baby battery CrossTrek (I tried it, but I am too large a person to find it comfortable compared to the Outback).
If the Tesla Model Y is out by then and meets my wants and needs and is something I can afford, then that would be awesome... but I hope in the 5 to 7 years that I will have several options for an all wheel drive passenger vehicle that seats 4 adults comfortably, can tow 3-4,000 lbs easily, has about as much cargo space as an outback, and has about 250-300+ miles of range.
