No lift or downforce will result in less induced drag. ie no suspension height change with speed.

However, it's a bit more subtle than that because if there is lift or downforce present, you need to get rid of it without then creating a lot of drag.

As Dick Barnard said to me when we were working on the book, you can destroy lift by placing a fence across the curved roof - but that won't be so good for drag!
