My favorite dust picture:
It shows the three zones of turbulence around an open wheel. The top is defined by dirt carried over-top by the tire. The center vortex is mixed with turbulence off the axle, and the vortexes off the leading edge of the contact patch are still low to the ground by the time they reach the back tire.
