It is true. There were relatively few tornadoes in the USA the last few years.
After inflation correction of course, otherwise it would be right in the middle.
Yet, this is just a 5 year lull in a rising trend, as there have been before:
Of course, tornadoes are just one aspect of the climate and there's no telling exactly how it is related. Even if the trend is rising with the other effects, there's no direct proof these are linked.
