*as to Australia, all they reported was, record high temperatures since weather records began. It's timing would be of interest to the climate scientists,as its occurring during a time interval coincident with global warming. It's a record, and outlier.
*120-year, all-time lows and snows would have been a valuable addition, however,an editor probably considered the broadcast time necessary, and chose to limit the data, leaving it up to the individual to dig deeper if interested.
*Chicago in under the microscope today. If the daily high doesn't break past something like -14-F,it will be a new record low, high temperature record, again,of interest to climate scientists.
*Perhaps this evening, they'll have a news summary with current data.
*The BBC had a meteorologist from Fargo,ND on the air this morning. They were at -56-F chill factor and he said folks were out jogging. They just layered up and went outside doing their normal routine.
