Oh, I wouldn't say that. The geothermal plant up the road has been running for decades, the're a lot of hydro & wind on the grid from the Columbia River (among other places), quite a bit of residential wind & solar. But my point is "bang for the buck": if I spent $20-40K on an EV, I wouldn't have that money to e.g. install PV solar or solar heating, which would have much more effect than the marginal savings (per mile $ or CO2) of the EV.
