If you think oil is some how inherently evil then you should be losing sleep if your transportation requires more than a gallon of oil for every few hundred miles to keep functioning.
For example a car tire uses about 7 gallons of oil to produce, so let's round it up to 30 for a set of car tires.
So you're getting around 1,600 to 1,700 miles to the gallon of oil. So don't lose sleep over tires.
If you install a diesel fired fuel heater in your electric car you will probably get at least 500 miles to a gallon, when it's cold out.
The leaf transaxle needs it's oil changed about ever 60,000 miles, it takes 1.5L.....
