As queen Pelosi once said:
"We have the votes and that's all that matters"
(To pass universal health care)

The US government already has way more power than they need to fix global warming. They control the NRC and DoE who has in their possession enough depleted uranium to power the country for at least 700 years.
We could be like France making kwhs for 75 grams of CO2, but no.

The one thing the vast majority of Americans can agree on is not to make the government to fix something.
The most recent example, government mandated health care. It more expensive than ever, is the number one reason people go bankrupt in the US and is harder to see a Dr than it was before it was passed.

Edit: queen Pelosi said she isn't voting for the new green deal.
